Partnership Accord to renew commitment to Indigenous Peoples in the Fraser Salish Region

The Renewed Partnership Accord was signed on February 1, 2024, in the Fraser Salish Region. This marked a renewed commitment among health organizations and, for the first time, the Métis Nation BC (MNBC). Grand Chief Willie Charlie, Andrew Victor, and Loren Muth, members of the FNHC Fraser Region Council, attended the signing ceremony. The event honored the signatories and recognized individuals for their contributions. The accord is a collective commitment to improve Indigenous Peoples’ health and wellness. It places a strong emphasis on addressing racism, promoting shared decision-making, and evolving policies for health equity and culturally safe services.
